Taylor Swift‚ Harry Styles Avoid Each Other at NRJ Awards in Cannes‚ France

Timing really is everything for Taylor Swift and Harry Styles' now-defunct relationship. The former lovebirds were both in Cannes, France, on Saturday, Jan. 26, to attend the NRJ Awards, but the exes managed to time their appearances just right to avoid any potentially awkward run-ins.

Styles, 18, hit the red carpet with his group One Direction and Korean pop sensation Psy first, and Swift, 23, arrived 25 minutes later, sources tell Us Weekly.

"It was very carefully timed so they didn't do the carpet at the same time," an insider tells Us. "Taylor didn't do any backstage interviews and didn't use a dressing room -- she changed at the hotel because she didn't want to see Harry at any point. ...Things were timed to keep them apart and for it to not become a big media circus."

Swift‚ Fox feud at peace

LONDON: Taylor Swift plays down her rivalry with Michaej J Fox after the actor seemingly told her to stay away from his son Sam.

Swift has taken to Twitter to reveal that Fox has reached out, and she insists the pair “are good.’’

Their feud followed Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s skit at the Golden Globes last week when they warned the I Knew You Were Trouble hit maker away from Fox’s son Sam.

The Back To The Future star was asked about the singer in an interview with Vulture.com, and whether he’d allow her to date his son.

Fox, 51, said, “No. No ... Just back off ... I don’t keep up with it all. But Taylor Swift writes songs about everybody she’s out with, right? What a way to build a career.’’

He implied his son would become a subject of such a track, jokingly suggesting ‘Sam, You Piece of S**t’ as a potential title.

Although it seemed the actor slammed her, Swift’s now taken to Twitter to say they have no issue.

She wrote, “Hey everybody, Michael J Fox got in touch with me today and we are good. Thank you for having my back.’’ However, his son cheekily retweeted and added, “Hope he gave her my # [number].’’

Country pop star Taylor Swift held her reign at the top of the Billboard 200 album chart on Wednesday, keeping retro-inspired R&B singer Bruno Mars' new album at bay.

Swift's latest album, "Red," released in October, held the No. 1 slot for a fifth non-consecutive week with sales of 208,000, according to figures from Nielsen SoundScan.

Mars' second album, "Unorthodox Jukebox," sold 192,000 copies in its opening week to take the No. 2 slot.

The album's lead single, "Locked Out of Heaven," stayed at the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for a second week, and is the singer's fourth chart-topping single. It also tops the Digital Songs chart this week.

Hip hop artist The Game entered the chart at No. 6 with his fifth studio album, "Jesus Piece," selling 86,000 copies.

Four festive albums sat in the top ten this week, with Michael Buble's "Christmas" at No. 3, Rod Stewart's "Merry Christmas Baby" at No. 5, Blake Shelton's "Cheers, It's Christmas" at No. 8, and Lady Antebellum's "On This Winter's Night" at No. 10.

After treating his new girlfriend to dinner at The Rising Sun in ­Derbyshire’s Peak District on Tuesday, One Direction‘s resident ladies’ man introduced Swift to his mom Anne. Then, on Wednesday, Swift and Styles fed doves and swans together — with Anne — during a visit to Lake Windermere.

Swift wants a bad boy

Taylor Swift said who undoubtedly doesn’t like staying in relationships for too long. She gave another fascinating insight into why she might be so unlucky in love along with confessing her obsession of finding herself a bad boy. “There’s a really interesting charisma involved,” the Mirror quoted her as telling Parade magazine as its Christmas cover girl. 

“They usually have a lot to say, and even if they don’t, they know how to look at you to say it all. “I think every girl’s dream is to find a bad boy at the right time, when he wants to not be bad anymore,” she said. 

The 22-year-old singer is currently linked to dating Harry Styles but it sounds like she might fancy a different member of One Direction – Zayn. According to reports, Swift split from boyfriend Connor Kennedy before moving on to Styles. She admits to struggling with ‘taking things slow’ when it comes to love. “I don’t think there’s an option for me to fall in love slowly, or at medium speed,” she said.
